Patient Story

A Unique Bond is a global storytelling campaign for Boehringer Ingelheim exploring the extraordinary relationship between people living with long-term health conditions and the animals that help them navigate everyday life. Bringing together stories from across Europe and the United States, the campaign highlights how companionship, routine and emotional connection can play an important role in supporting health and wellbeing. The campaign weaves together five individual stories into a single narrative, following people living with conditions including diabetes, COPD, stroke recovery and systemic sclerosis. Produced across multiple countries within an ambitious international production schedule, the campaign delivered a hero film alongside a suite of social assets and photography designed for global audiences.
