Have a story to tell?

Whether you’re developing a patient film, employee stories podcast series or documentary campaign, I’d love to hear about it.

Most projects start with a conversation to understand the story, objectives and the best approach for the budget available.

Faqs.

What industries do you specialize in?

Most projects start with a short discovery call to understand the story, audience, timeline and budget available. From there, I’ll recommend a production approach, outline the likely team requirements and provide a clear scope of work so everyone understands what is included before production begins.

Do you work alone or bring in a crew?

That depends on the brief.

For some projects, I’ll work independently with a lightweight setup. For others, I’ll bring in trusted specialists including directors of photography, camera operators, editors, animators, photographers or sound professionals.

Clients contract directly with me, and I manage the wider production team, suppliers and project delivery on their behalf. I remain directly involved throughout every project and act as the primary point of contact.

Who manages the budget and suppliers?

I do.

Clients receive a single proposal and point of contact. Once a project is approved, I manage the production budget, coordinate suppliers and freelancers, oversee scheduling and ensure everything is delivered within the agreed scope.

The aim is to simplify the process rather than add another layer of management

How do you work with patients and contributors?

Preparation is usually the most important part.

Before filming, I spend time understanding each contributor’s story, discussing expectations and making sure they’re comfortable with the process. Interview questions are typically shared and discussed in advance where appropriate.

On filming days, the focus is on creating a relaxed environment rather than a heavily scripted one, helping contributors communicate naturally and authentically.

My mantra is making sure that that person's story is theirs to tell how they want, so if they're happy, we're all happy.

What if we know the topic but haven’t fully developed the story yet?

That’s often where I get involved. Many projects start with a broad objective rather than a finished concept. I help identify the strongest narrative, shape the interview approach and recommend creative ways to bring the story to life while remaining aligned with project goals.

How much does a typical project cost?

Every project is different, but most commissions fall somewhere between £5,000 and £25,000 depending on the scope, locations, crew requirements and deliverables involved.

Some projects are built around a single contributor and a small production team, while others involve multiple filming days, specialist crew, photography, social content or animation.

Following an initial conversation, I’ll recommend an approach that aligns with the story, objectives and budget available.
